My birthday passed by like it was just any other day, no celebration, no gifts, no wish (okayy because i switched off my phone ;P
but the phone did not ring, just a few text message from a few friends, didn’t even log in facebook until much later..but at the most, it was a quiet & peaceful birthday.
I guess growing old, all you want is just a time alone to absorb the fact you are growing old, and you appreciate the quietness rather than a loud party. So this year, and even few years back, i spent my birthday only with my family.
To be honest, we never celebrate birthdays, one thing for sure, to avoid all the unnecessary rants about forgetting people’s birthday. One of my close friend insist to celebrate , at least something when i come back. It feels a bit odd to be receiving a gift, when you never get any except from your family. But not on birthdays, my family made it a promise that we shall never celebrate , so that it will be fair for all.
Birthdays are actually the day your mom giving birth to you, so we should be celebrating our mother for giving birth to us, We did nothing but cry and exist lol. J.K
Well, doesn’t hurt to celebrate or not to celebrate. Its up to you on how you want to spend your birthday. As for me, well, spending time with my family are enough.
Last two year, someone made a surprise birthday party, and boy its awkward to hear people singing those birthday song to you. -___-“
p/s: yes im 27 now! (a few days ago to be exact)
